I've linked the few stories I still like to telekis_vendiak. Just in case someone wants to read good sci-fi. There are a few Tolkienfic recs, too, but fewer. I've all but stopped reading Tolkienfic... or writing it.

I found my way to this story by accident. It's exceptionally wonderful, and I urge all McKay fans to read it.

It's a future fic, after the return from Atlantis, G-rated and incredibly well-written.

For those who at least read German and like original fantasy stories. I found in the German section this story called Ayarin by someone with the pen name Angelheart.

We had one of our traumatic family reunions again. Celebrating the birthdays of my cousins' children who both couldn't care less for the older generations. Which I can understand, actually - after all, this is the righ age for that.

The worse part is that I'm exclusively related to people with whom I don't have the tiniest common interest, our view on politics clash all the time, and they aren't very tolerant towards different opinions, either. I wish they would stop insisting that Mother and I go to these stupid reunions.
