It started as a missing scene to Elf-root, in which Bifur tries to explain Bilbo why they never told him that she was a female Dwarf. It gained a life of its own, though, while I was struggling with the single scene I originally planned to write and now it seems to develop into another multi-chapter monstrosity. Clearly, I am cursed.
