Vacation aftermath

To be honest, Mum and I are both a little flattened. So we didn't do much today, save for going to church (her) and to the supermarket (both), as our fridge was practically empty. We ate in the self-serving restaurant at the supermarket (didn't feel like cooking and washing up), and then came home and started the washing machine with all our dirty clothes.

I sorted out all the crafting stuff I bought in Austria and hope I won't forget where I put them all (it is known to have happened; I'm still looking for the little pressed paper figures I put away a couple of months ago - I'd need one to make a Santa for one of the exploding boxes... no luck so far). And I made exactly two small pieces of decoration for one of the Christmas boxes; unfortunately, I had to take apart and redo the first one, as it didn't turn out the way I hoped it would. Ah, well, I've got enough time till Christmas to finish them, right?

Oh man, that first day home can be hard. Glad you're all okay.

Thanks. First day home is hard indeed. There was a moment when I had the feeling that every square inch of me hurts. *g*

First day back home can be brutal. You need time to just rest.

Flattened is perfectly understandable. Train rides are exhausting even on comfortable trains and you were very active during your vacation. A slow Sunday (though you still got a lot done for being flattened!) was the perfect way to end your vacation. Wouldn't want all the relaxation you got there to be gone already on day one.
