Little joys of the day

Thank to Nilmandra's guidance, I finally figured out how to post to The Stories of Arda. Yay! I'd be even happier if we could make Edhellond work the same way, because I'd like to have all my stories posted on the same archive, Yes, even the very few explicit scenes. But that'd take a long time yet, I'm afraid.

I decided to create a new group - actually, more a newsletter than a group. Its purpose would be to make all Edhellond and/or DP authors possible to announce updates, without having to write a thousand e-mails to their friends. If I make all the authors co-moderators, they can all post their announcements themselves, and with open membership, everyone else can sign up and get the update alerts. Hmmm.

Mom and I were to the Tropicarium today - that was her Xmas prezzie from me. It's a big sea-aquarium, not far from where we live... well, big for a country that has not sea whatsoever. It has sharks and rays and other interesting sea-creatures. There is a part where you can practically walk through a glass-walled tunnel, and all the fish swim above and all around you. It's very cool, reminds me of Círdan's Sea Palace in my story, Twisted Paths of Fate.

As the cherry on the cake, Super RTL, one of the commercial German channels will sow A Christmas Carol tonight, with nothing lesser than Patrick Stewart in the leading role. I'm soooooo going to watch that one! Stupidly enough, I forgot about The Ghost of Chanterwille, which was shown two days ago, with the very same Patrick Stewart. I've already seen that one, but would have gladly watched it a second time. Ah, well.

Márton Csókás, actually. But that's okay, everyone misspells his name, he probably does it himself.

I have a pic in my Edhellond album about him in that XXX movie. That pic was my guideline in my interpretation of Master Andrahar. Archet made a modification of that pic, named "The Man of Gondor", for some reason. It's in her album, I think. Or is it in mine, too? Too lazy to look it up.

I only saw the first X-men movie. Wasn't too impressed by it. But I like TV-series a lot more than movies anyway.

Right. Csóskás. Csókás. Csókás. Czech has "cz" - Magyar (Hungarian) does not - you told me this at least once before. Sorry, Tanárnó!

As for X-Men, we just watched the first one. Yes, I know: one generally watches the first one first and then the second one, but I couldn't find the first one yesterday. At any rate, I think the second one was a bit better in terms of pacing and tension, but the storyline about Logan/Wolverine and his memory loss and such made much more sense now we've seen the first one. Also, nice to see a fantasy/sci-fi system wherein "superpowers" have their downside as well as being an asset - unbreakable claws pop out, but they cut the skin painfully every time; eyes have a killer ray, but you can't ever take off your glasses, etc. Seems more balanced in some way that I appreciate.
