Disappointment

My Advent calendar was doing reasonably well on SoA, at least given the average of comments I tend to get there: at least 2 reviews per chapter. Until Chapter 18, that is. No-one of the 88 people who supposedly read it found it good enough to say something encouraging. That's hard. It isn't an easy series to write, but until now at least a few people seemed to appreciate it.

On FF.Net, someone mentioned that they had the same OC as I, wondering if that was a coincidence. Which means in translation: they suspect that I've stolen Elulindo from them. I never read a word of their writing. It's all very discouraging. And I was so hoping that I might pull through the stupid calendar. I've written 20 chapters already. But by this sort of reaction - and the lack of it - I'm not sure I'll bother to actually finish it.

What on earth are they talking about. Have they not heard the expression "great minds think alike"? Aparently not, if they had they would not be asking you things like that.

You really put a lot of work into your advent calender and I like it a lot. *sending a hug to you*

Between holiday travels and H3, reviewers seem to have, temporarily at least, wandered off. They'll likely catch up with you when things quiet down.

Be assured I've been thinking of you! As it gets dark earlier and earlier, I've remembered how lovely København was in the dark December evenings and imagine your city must be similarly lit and decorated.

This time of the year is so busy - I haven't been able to get on line, with everything that is going on in real life. It could just be people haven't been online, and will catch up on your story soon.

I haven't read it yet, but am looking forward to it, now that all the Yuletide work is beginning to calm down. It is very silly of them to think you stole their OC - coincidence is much more likely, especially with coming up with names from the given languages...
