Day 2in Graz - Deus Ex Machina

Well... things took an unexpected turn to the better. The manager lady of Hotel #2 - which for the record, is the Hotel Drei Raben, meaning "The Three Ravens" - decided that the whole thing is outrageous and had Words with her counterpart in the original hotel. With the result that we can stay here!!! For the whole time! And we won't even have to pay the price difference, as compensation for all the stress. God, I am so relieved!

So, to speak about the actual beauties of Graz, too, we were on the Schlossberg today, the old fortress of Graz, and had a great time. There were a few paths where one had to címben a bit. Mum kept up for a while, then she sat out the rest, but it was a nice trip nonetheless. In the afternoon we are planning to do a bit of window shopping and eventually to visit the Murinsel, which is not really an insel, despite it's name, but a ship.

I'm late again, but must cheer loudly for you and Mum! Thanks for letting us all know the name of the establishment that is treating you so well. I'll be sure to share it with my sister who lives in Germany, in case they travel that way.

It sounds beautiful. Years ago, I enjoyed very much wandering about old castles in Denmark, imagining how daily life must have been.

I can definitely recommend the hotel to everyone. It has an old-fashioned flair with modern conveniences, 4 tram lines stop on the next corner to get you everywhere in the city, and the staff is very helpful. Also, you only have to go 3 tram stops to the historic centre.
