The Dwarves return!
No, really! After almost two years, I finally felt inspired to continue "The Book of Mazarbul", which, as some people may remember, is the tale of Balin's doomed expedition to re-take Moria. Chapter 08 - Heroes has just been posted to Stories of Arda (edited version, without teh Ebol Gay in it) and FF.Net (full version).

Well, apparently the story has been on a hiatus for too long. The total lack of interest in both archives is mroe than a ltitle disheartening. But again, that's something I'm unfortunately used to. :(
