I always loved the Arthurian legends. Strangely enough, the fact that they're so twisted out of recognition in the show doesn't bother me too much. Perhaps because Arthur and Merlin are so cute. *g*

As for magic being used to control people - in the end it all comes down to power, doesn't it? This is just a different kind of it.
