Ermina Hugonin first featured in "The Virgin in the Ice". While we never actually see her again, we learn in "The Pilgrim of Hate" that Olivier has married her shortly thereafter, and in the last novel, "Brother Cadfael's Penanca", we also learn that they are awaiting their first child, making Cadfael a grandfather, soon.

While all this is nice and interesting, Ermina is one of the least likeable female characters in the entire series. IMO, Olivier deserved better.
