Yes, it's silly, I know. But honestly, it costs you not "a weary cent", as the Germans say, and I'd like to have this so badly, just this one time. There is some truth to your words. Had I paid more attention to Tuor, I would have spotted his obnoxious flirtation in time to throw him off the city walls long before he could have corrupted my beloved cousin's heart. It is the only thing in my life I truly regert.
