As for your question in the review: no, the Dragon Ring is not one of the Seven. It's one of the so-called "lesser rings", where the Mírdain (and Celebrimbor himself) were only trying their skills. The whole idea was first established in Visits in Eregion, I don't remember if you know that story or not.
