?? Which Of The Greek Gods Are You ??
brought to you by Quizilla

Usually, these quizzies are close enough to the truth. But this result is as false as a result ever can be. I'm not easy to get along with, and I'm most certainly not god at anything academic.

I looked at the possible results and found at least three that would match a lot better.

Ah, you are Soledad! Mae govannen, Namaste, Hallo!

I've been wanting to meet you for simply ages. Now I know where your website is, I shall be off there to read your stories. When I asked recently on 'Second Age Elves' for information about Gildor Inglorion (for an RPG) they mentioned Soledad, Soledad, Soledad. Now I find that you're a writer of other fiction, I'm even more impressed.

Oh flies of Mordor!!!

Why can't I understand German or Hungarian? 'Seashore Lands' sounds fascinating. I love people who have a vivid and abundant imagination - enough to create a whole new world.

[identity profile] wiseheart.livejournal.com 2004-03-11 11:11 am (UTC)(link)
Well, 'Seashore Lands' does have some great parts, but a lot of it is utter crap, so don't be sad. Writing 1,500+ pages in a mere ten months tends to cause that effect to a story. *g*

Too bad that you don't understand German, though. I'm rather fond of my original fairy tales, but nobody in ff.net's German section has showed any interest so far. R&R has become such a one-sided affair nowadays. :((

As for Gildor, feel free to ask any questions you want, but be aware of the fact that his background is completely made up by me. As Finch says, he's one of the rare Elves who don't even have a footnote anywhere.

I'm glad you like what you've seen. But actually, you are better off with my ff.net page than with my own site. I update the latter far too infrequently. *looks ashamed*

Oh many thanks! I've bookmarked your section on ff.net. There's a lot to get through but that's good! It seems that you're a prolific writer. Hope you don't mind that I've added you to my friends list because then I can see when you've updated.

Yes, Gildor is an enigma as far as his history goes, a bit like Lindir and Erestor. But there again, writers can make up a suitable life story for them which is quite acceptable and useful for the realm of fan fiction.

I know very little German but I've heard that it's much more expressive than English which is what I find when comparing English to Hindi or Marathi - there's not enough descriptive words, especially for the degrees of emotions.

True enough, borderline characters with little to no personal background are a blessing for fanfic writers.

German is an interesting language indeed. I prefer it for writing original fantasy and fairy tales, but the reason for that might be the fact that I've spoken it a lot longer than English.

Quizilla quizzes can have odd results, can't they - sometimes changing just one answer can give a radically different result. At least Athena is cool. You get to keep an owl, and be born fully-grown from your father's brain :)

[identity profile] wiseheart.livejournal.com 2004-03-11 11:13 am (UTC)(link)
The problem is, that - according to other family members - my father didn't have a brain. As I've only seen him once (at the age of 4), I can't tell myself.

Okay, okay. Here's the correct text:
You are Cerberus, the terrible dog at the entrance of Mandos'-oops- Hades.
With your three heads you speak seven languages or at least bark in them all the day, mainly using the odd term 'Pfungstadt'.
You guard the Path of the Dead but also can be seen in Imladris' pantry from time to time, gnawing on a, erm, *three* bones Lindir gave you. In case you found no orcs or canon-pighead, that is.
Your fur is shaggy, your flews drool all the day and some people muse about your family relationship with the wargs, but you only laugh at that, calling wargs 'puppies'.
Who once passed the entrance to your realm of fanfiction never returns, engrossed in the stories as he is, and when Orpheus appeared with his lyre all he got was a common "Shhht!" ere we - ahem - 'regained our "Innocence"'.
But despite your growling and snarling you like it to be scratched behind your ears - what herewith I do:
*scratch*

*dies laughing*
Earonn, you are the most delightfully evil one of all evil non-elvenprincesses. I love you. :))
That was the funniest thing I've read in a week - go you!

[identity profile] earonn.livejournal.com 2004-03-15 01:58 pm (UTC)(link)
It makes me happy that I could amuse you a little but it frightenes me to no end that you didn't contradict my description at least a little! ;)
*brings you a tasty hot tea*
Get well soon!

[identity profile] wiseheart.livejournal.com 2004-03-15 03:42 pm (UTC)(link)
How could I contradict? You obviously know me too well. :))

[identity profile] lhun-dweller.livejournal.com 2004-03-20 08:56 pm (UTC)(link)
I was going to post something witty, but Earonn has outdone and undone me, so all I can do is be honest. I think you're easy to get along with, and anyone who can speak three languages as well as you do and write the kinds of marvelous tales you do is doing VERY well in the "smarts" department.

So shush up, pick up the shield with the Gorgon head on it and turn into stone all those ignorant barbarians on ff.net and elsewhere who wouldn't know a good story if it hit them over the head repeatedly.
