Advent calendar plans

Remember my snowman a couple of entries previously? I told you it will get a podest and stuff. Now, look at the Advent calendar that inspired it:



It is taken from the German DIY magazine "Mein Deko- und Bastelspaß". They did an extra number on Advent calendars last year - that is where I took the idea for the little felt Christmas Elves - and I scanned in the picture of this one because it is so very pretty. I won't make an entire Advent calendar; most likely just a few round boxes with snowmen and probably additional little gift packages. but the original is great, too.

Indeed. I use empty cheese boxes and matchboxes to achieve the same effect. I'll post a pic from the end result, eventually. I still need a proper broom for the snowman.

Cute, aren't they? I'm still trying to create a convincing broom for the snowman, all other parts are done.
