Hopping around
Mar. 6th, 2024 08:04 pm... and without the help of a TARDIS, too! Life just isn't fair.
Anyway, I went and bought that blood pressure messing... thing today. And to the bank to get the new insurance sum transferred. And to Kik, to buy some unmentionables for Mum - I found some pretty ones, so she's content.
I also wanted to buy a light cardigan for her, to replace Grandma's old one that the paramedics cut to pieces when she had her collapse, but didn't find any she (or I) would have liked. The few ones that were to have at all were all too thick, too heavy, too warm. I'll have to take a look what Auchan has to offer; they have nice things sometimes. Their il extenso label is quite good. I prefer Kik's Janina for myself, those are at least big and wide enough, but Mum is a much smaller person, so perhaps Auchan will be the solution. Tomorrow will be shopping day anyway.
I also went to Tedi, where I bought some textile flowers I didn't really need, but they were pretty. And to the stationer's for felt-tipped pens. Small wonder it was nearly 2pm when I got home. (Well, I left after 11 o'clock, so it wasn't that long, but still.)
Today I didn't have to cook, so slave labour consisted of several rounds of washing-up. Which is bad enough, but at least I didn't produce even more dirty dishes (save for the ones we ate from). So I could squeeze in a tiny bit of crafting: I selected the papers for the next page(s) and cut them to the right size. Tomorrow, there will be the counturing to do, at the very least, since I bought brand new pale pink and pale blue felt-tipped pens. The old ones had nearly run out of paint and were a real ordeal to work with.
I also did a bit of writing: continued to rework the jigsaw chapter. I think it will turn out... acceptable, which is the best I can hope for. Now if I only could sweet-talk some native speaker to do the beta work on this story...
