We has a cake!

Look at this! Isn't it beautiful? And yummy, too...

It was a lot of fussy work, but it's worth every minute of it. Even though next time - assuming there will be a next time - I'll use Grandma's sponge mixture. This one resulted in a slightly dry cake.

Other than spent hours in the kitchen, I also made another little purse, and we had laundry day. Consequently lunch consisted of leftover soup and cake. I can live with that. We watched a bit the athletics world championship, since it takes place in our city anyway, and then just collapsed and rested a bit.
