December 27
Dec. 27th, 2021 07:03 pmAka the day of St. John, the Evangelist. His has always been my favourite Gospel, and I always found his life history - legendary or not - very touching. "The pupil whom Jesus loved" - could there be any more moving description? Yes, I know I'm a sentimental old hag, but John has always been the closest to me, even though I never cared much for saints in general.
Ahem... yes. Otherwise, we had an uneventful day. We did some additional laundry, gave a friend called John a congratulatory phone call, ate leftover soup with cookies because our digestion was acting up again (why is it that we never get an upset stomach from cookies? I mean, I'm glad we don't, it's just odd!), I talked to my friend Evie on the phone re: grilled chicken, and we watched some telly.
The only productive part of the day was that I've finished chapter 19 of Timescapes and planned out the next part of the story, which I consider a great achievement.
