Crafting with the kids

These will be this year's advent calendars for one of the fifth-grade-classes. Eventually. We used round cardboard boxes (the sort in which you can buy cheese) as a basis, covered the lids with brightly coloured paper and decorated it with origami stars or Christmas trees. The sides need to be painted over yet, and the numbers must be glued or painted on, but this is the basic idea.
