Just for the record:
It will take place on December 18, at 11a.m. in the St. Gellért Parish Church

The program is going to be:

- Midőn a Szűz bepólyálja gyermekét
(Hungarian Christmas canon for 6 voices)

- O Beautiful, Mystic Night
(Hungarian Christmas son for 3 voices)

- Hungarian Christmas Lullaby
(For 2 voices + a soprano solo)

- Evening Pryer
(Hungarian religious song for 4 voices)

- Signore delle cime by Giuseppe de Marzi
(sung in Italian, which none of us can speak, so the more fun)

- The First Nowel by John Suiner (sp? it's an nth generation fotocopy)
(Only two voices, but very lovely, IMO)
(We have great fun with English pronounciation. Especially the ones who
don't speak English. Which is oh, about 80 per cent of the choir members)

- King Jesus (I think it's called a gospel piece???)
(Now, this one is fun! 6 voices, sung with organ music and stuff)

Too bad nobody of you will hear it. The children's choir will have its concert at 9a-m. They're suffering during rehearsals like dogs, too. *g*

But I'm actually starting to look forward to it. We might manage to put the songs together, as it seems.

I wish I could come hear it! I admit the idea of Hungarians singing gospel is VERY intriguing {grin}. Instead, I shall just have to look forward to curling up with my new tape and enjoy Hungarians singing Hungarian (Magyar singing Magyar?), which will be pretty wonderful all by itself.

I just Googled St. Gellért Parish Church to see if I could find pictures. Are you singing in the "Cave Church" (which would have amazing acoustics)? Or is it the Inner City Parish? Or did I not find the right place at all?

No, it's a different one. It's a modern building, looking like a round tent make out of concrete (I find it awfully ugly, but it's just me). People say it has good acoustics, so let's hope we'll be doing well.
