I left town today

wiseheart... for the first time in six years! I've visited my ex-colleague and friend of 30 years in an outlying town and had a fantastic time with her. She's about to move house in a few months' time, so this was the last chance to see her old home. She lives relatively far from the nearest bus-stop, so the visit involved a great deal of walking and mild climbing. I haven't moved this much for years! I'm sure I'll be sore tomorrow, but it was worth it.
On my way home I did some grocery shopping, then had a very late lunch with Mum and then slept an hour or so. And now the day is over again. It's baffling how fast time flows.
