... was very, very peaceful. In fact, it was all about resting and having fun, doing as little as humanly possible.

The only actual work I did was taking down the dried washing, which only took about ten minutes. Then, while Mum attended Mass on TV I felt inspired to work a bit on the long overdue baby books. I've finally finished the fifth pages and made decent progress on the sixth ones. When those are done, too (perhaps tomorrow), I can bind the books... something I don't really like doing, but it must be. At least I don't have to worry about deadlines - one of the babies had the cheek to arrive a full month earlier than expected, so I'll be late in any case.

Then we watched Mary Berry's Easter Feast that we skipped last night because it was so late. In the middle of the day, though, it was nice entertainment, especially as TV Paprika (one of the cooking/baking channels) made us the never-before-had gift of showing both episodes without a single ad break. That was delightful!

We had leftover spanakopita and cake for lunch and went for a short walk afterwards; a very short one because Mum's knee was acting up. But at least I got her out of the house and into the fresh air and sunshine for a little while.

After that we both napped a lot. Mum talked to her lady friends, I got a lovely MNS message from a former colleague, and for the rest of the time we were blessedly lazy. Still, being lazy is hard work, and now we both are sleepy. *g*

I bet you're sleepy because they stole that hour from us!

Possibly. We get up earlier on Sundays anyway, so that Mum can attend to Mass, and the extra hour means we got up almost two hours earlier today.

Lazy is good. Mum is walking outside already? That's wonderful.

That sounds to me like a very, very, good way to celebrate Easter.

Oh yes, babies love to do that. Two of mine arrived quite early. only one was two days late. But, please, do not remind me of Easter mass on TV- horrible times, remembering my Jewish grandfather moping and my mother enjoying his moping.

Just a little bit, but every little bit counts.

Must have been very festive — not! In our house Mum watches it alone, while I'm doing other things, so no quarreling about it.

How nice to be able to relax and rest on the holiday :0) I had planned to do so but ended up having an unexpected guest, so it was rush, rush to get the house clean and a more "Easter" type dinner prepared. But, it all turned out well and we had a good Easter day.
