Today we had the last flat-cleaning frenzy of the year, so I'm truly flattened. But at least it's done for the next three weeks. Phew!

Adrienne, Erna and Eenie have collected their cookie boxes (Eenie took the one of our choir leader, too, as she offered to deliver it), and so has our cleaning lady. The balcony has become way less crowded. ;)

There wasn't time for anything else. I'm tired and planning to go to bed early, as tomorrow I'll have to make a food run, and the safest way to do it to get up at an ungodly early time. We'll see if I manage to do so.

I am a master in getting up at an ungodly time- but not of my own free will!

Getting up in general is a horror for me. I've been a night owl all my life, plus I used to have the afternoon shift in the last, oh, ten years of my working time, so getting up in the morning has become a trial, no matter when. Getting up early is tenfold worse.

Good luck for the food run.
Hope you get everything you need.

Thanks. I basically need bread, milk, potatoes and the likes, so let's hope it won't be a problem due to the pre-Christmas crowd.

I hear you re shopping hours. I often go after seven in the evening, when staff are restocking the shelves and there are few customers around. I may not get absolutely everything on my list, but it's worth it.

I wish I could do the weekly shopping on one day! Unfortunately, I don't have a car and no longer can carry more than two big, heavy shopping bags, not to mention that the foodstuffs have different prices in different food shops, so it's and adventure at least twice a week. Today I had to make three turns, so that I wouldn't have to take part in the immediate pre-Christmas shopping madness.

Oh I feel for you!

It used to be that Sis — who works in a mall in the main street — would pick up some groceries every couple of days, but because of all the restrictions she tries to minimise that now. And we do know how lucky we are that we can drive there once a week.

Good plan to shop early. It's less crowded for sure.
