The biscuit picspam I've promised. Behold the 5th batch of the GCBF:

From the left:
Almond-chocolate biscuits with red currant jam
Chestnut fingers and birdies
Orange hearts
Cinnamon stars
Chocolate stars
Karlsbader Krapferln

Today I've decorated the chocolate stars and the chestnut birds (they didn't have beaks yet) and glued together the two parts of the Karlsbader Krapferln with apricot jam. Also, Adrienne dropped by and handed over her cookie box for the filling, so we had a visitor for approximately two minutes. That's social life in these days!

Oh, and the whisks resurfaced today. It appears that in my great hurry I throw them under their box (which I've gone through three times, looking for them) and discovered them by accident today. Yay! *is relieved*

Now if only my digestion would calm down I'd be all-around content and happy.

Those birds are so cute! I wish i had your stamina with decorating! Best wishes for your digestive system to finally be at peace! That´s one very annoying sickness!

Funnily enough, the birds happened as an accident. The dough is for Maronistangerln, but I'm useless with the piping bag and any similar gadget. After I've produced the S-shaped... things, I realized they looked like birds and decided to turn them into birds. *g*

As for the digestive problems, I suspect the dratted Impfung had something to do with them. I never had these kinds of problems before (unless I caught a stomach bug from the school kids), and now it's a recurring event. I had this after the second Sputnik jab and now again... What's more, Mum has it, too, so it can't be a coincidence.

I'm happy about the whisks, yes. That's what you have from being so "ordered" — putting away everything as soon as I can, and then things don't exactly end up where they were supposed to be. *g*

And yeah, I'd be happy not to spend half the night running again...

Too bad there is a dratted ocean between us, or else I'd put you on the list, too.

Und meistens ist es so, dass man die Dinge an einen ganz ungewöhnlichen Ort gelegt hat. Wieso macht man das?! :D

All the cookies look great, but the birds are really special! And I love the combination of flavours, you've got a little of everything.

I constantly misplace cooking utensils. Actually my theory is that Peter does it, but I'm not so sure....

As I mentioned above, the birds were accidentally created. *g*
And yeah, a little of everything is the best. I'm very much for a wide variety of flavours and decoration.

When they were accidentally created due to my clumsiness with the piping bag, at first I wanted to make them robins. But then I decided that too much colour would be... well, too much. So they remained unspecified. *g*

This is the part I love most in Christmas baking — when the really fancy biscuits come.

Your whisk story reminds me of the time I lost my paring knife. Mum was drying cutlery when I asked her to find me a hammer. She brought the hammer, but the knife disappeared for weeks. The next time I needed a screwdriver I discovered the knife...with tea towel (drying cloth)...in the tool box.
